Matthew Scholder is a co-CIO of Equity at MFS Investment Management® (MFS®). In his role, he partners with the firm's other co-CIOs in the research management process and strategy discussions, including developing investment policies and programs that achieve the investment objectives of MFS and its clients. Matt also has equity research and sector leadership responsibilities. He is based in Boston. Matthew was named co-CIO in 2025. He joined MFS in 2010 after participating in the firm's MBA analyst intern program. Prior to working at MFS, he was a director of Finance and Operations at Sweetriot, Inc. for three years. Previous experience also includes a year at Energy Intelligence Group as a research analyst and a year at Taylor Rafferty as an investor relations associate. Matthew earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude from Georgetown University.
